Ok maybe not the strangest....

Clearly, my post of some days ago entitled "I just ate the strangest thing" was not appropriately qualified. Mul neng myeon is, I think, pretty darn strange . . . for a bowl of noodles. What you see above is called bundaegi. It's boiled silkworm pupae. I confess that I ate them mainly to demonstrate my unbwogability (unbwogableness? unbwogischkeit?) to the lads. I did not see the appeal, but neither did I have to fight to keep my gorge down. They're kind of crunchy-chewy like al dente pasta. Flavor like maybe barley water with a bit of coffee grounds and al dente pasta again.
